Staff Accountant I

The Staff Accountant I will dive into the intricate world of financial data with enthusiasm and precision. This role is designed for those who thrive on detail-oriented tasks and are passionate about transforming numbers into meaningful, actionable insights. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting data, creating entries, and ensuring that every financial transaction is accurately captured and reported. This is a chance to play a crucial role in the financial management and strategy of a forward-thinking company.

What you'll do: 

  • Data Gathering and Entry: You will be the master of records, ensuring all financial data is accurately entered into our system. This includes scanning and reviewing bills to prevent discrepancies that could impact financial statements.
  • Credit Card Management: Take charge of entering and coding credit card charges. You will meticulously pull receipts from Expensify, ensuring each transaction aligns with company policies and budgetary constraints.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Stay on top of our financial pulse by updating bank feeds regularly. You will match bank data with our internal records, ensuring all transactions are synchronized and errors are caught early.
  • Rent and Lease Entries: Handle the entry of rents and leases with precision, ensuring every detail is accounted for and recorded correctly in our financial systems.
  • Participates in meetings with operations, accounting, and related departments. 
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned. 


What you'll need to succeed:  

  • Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to solve problems as they arise. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (i.e., OneDrive, Lists, Teams, SharePoint), Oracle NetSuite, NextService, Intuit QuickBooks, or similar software. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Associate degree or vocational school training preferred. 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift to 40 pounds at a time.
