The Opportunity:

Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for numbers and a knack for improving processes? Our rapidly expanding company is searching for an Accountant II who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a tangible impact. This role is perfect for someone who excels at financial management, particularly in bank reconciliations, asset oversight, and strategic financial analysis.

Your Role:

This role is a crucial member of our accounting team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your work will directly contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master of Reconciliation: Own the reconciliation process for all bank and credit card transactions, ensuring every penny is accounted for with precision and accuracy.
  • Asset Management Innovator: Take charge of our fixed asset ledger, overseeing the entire lifecycle of our assets. You'll continually evaluate and enhance our asset management procedures to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Depreciation Expert: Accurately calculate and record depreciation for all fixed assets, aligning with both internal policies and the latest accounting standards.
  • Strategic Fleet Oversight: Actively participate in regular fleet management meetings, where you'll review asset status and contribute to the strategic direction of our company vehicles.
  • Transaction Guru: Manage the transfer, sale, and write-off of assets, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations every step of the way.
  • Purchase Order Closer: Efficiently close out purchase orders, meticulously reconciling them with our financial system to maintain clarity and accuracy in our financial commitments.
  • Loan Entry Specialist: Handle all loan transaction entries, with a focus on both principal and interest, ensuring our loan accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Cross-Department Collaborator: Work closely with operations, accounting, and other related departments to streamline processes and support company-wide initiatives.
  • Continuous Contributor: Bring your ideas and solutions to the table in various meetings and projects, helping to drive our company's success forward.

What You'll Bring:

  • A solid foundation in clerical and administrative procedures, with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to clearly convey complex financial information.
  • Top-notch organizational and time management skills, ensuring you can juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive problem-solving mindset, ready to tackle challenges as they arise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Oracle NetSuite, Intuit QuickBooks, or similar financial software.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required, providing you with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • The ability to thrive in a desk-based role, with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
